Psalm 12

Psalm 12
Help, LORD, for the godly are no more; the faithful have vanished from among men. Everyone lies to his neighbor; their flattering lips speak with deception. May the LORD cut off all flattering lips and every boastful tongue that says, "We will triumph with our tongues; we own our lips--who is our master?"
"Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says the LORD. "I will protect them from those who malign them." And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times. O LORD, you will keep us safe and protect us from such people forever. The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men.

In today's Psalm reading, the Lord says that He will now arise to protect us from the those who malign us. The Lord says that He will keep us safe & protect us from such people forever although such people still freely strut about (or walk about in a self-satisfied way; or walk around as kings...)

It is so amazing in this season of reading Psalms everyday. The Lord seemed to be able to describe the situation so well that I can only stand amazed of His greatness & rejoices in His Soverignty. The Lord will indeed protect His people even in a world where the wicked is in power. We just have to learn to trust in God that He will deliver His people out of "Egypt".

Amen!!!
